About the Practitioner
Ahuti F. Ferid was born in Munich, Germany, and from the age of ten traveled with her family all over Europe, including North Africa. She graduated from the University of Munich with an MS in biology/bio-chemistry in 1976.
Supported by a grant, she did three years of research at the medical school in Istanbul Çapa, Turkey. She returned to Berlin and worked there as a legal translator for the Turkish language and a science teacher for the education of young Turkish students.
In 1984, Ahuti came to the US to join a spiritual commune in Oregon. She graduated from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) with an MS in Chinese medicine in 1990 and received her license to practice in 1991.
As a student of life she found herself traveling in the last twenty years to India four times, to China and to Bali, Indonesia for a prolonged period of time.
Since 1990 she has been a member of the California State Oriental Medicine Association (CSOMA).
In 1992 she founded the New Dimensions Acupuncture and Herbology Clinic in the San Lorenzo Valley, California, where she is practicing Oriental medicine.
From 1992 to 1998 she volunteered for the Spiritual Emergence Network (SEN) and also served on its board of directors.
She lives in the Santa Cruz mountains with her husband Svargo.
